This was the greatest night of my life and definitely of my comedy career. For those of you who have checked out my blog you probably don't know this because I haven't posted it in the past, let's just say I am a stand up comedian. Coming from NYC long ago I came up with cats like Dave Chappelle, Tracie Morgan, Mike Epps, Tasha Smith and Bill Bellamy. Comedy has taken me to Miami, Bermuda, across America to places I never expected to go but after a bad car accident and low self-esteem it caused me to be on and off the stage. And its times like this when Dave shows up I realize I need to stay in the game. The first time was when I worked at John Varvatos in Soho and was ready to quit comedy, Dave called and asked me to be on The Chappelle Show. Second time was here in Seattle 2005 and he gave me a shout out on stage because he knew I was in the audience. This last time in Oct I ran into him in a store and we got to reminiscing and before I knew it Dave asked me to open for his show at the Moore Theatre which was crazy because I had just bought tickets for me and my wife. This was an opportunity I didn't know if I was ready for. Most of the clubs I have performed at here have been small clubs and this was for 2 shows with 4,000 people in one night. This was an opportunity were I didn't know if I was ready but I knew I had to take it. A leap of faith! Not only did I do it, I was successful. One show I was great and the other I was good but I was successful. Not only because I made people laugh and had a ball but also because I leaped. I even had people coming up to me the next day at working saying " I saw you at The Dave Chappelle Concert. Where else can I come see you? Where are you performing next?" This man didn't just give me an opportunity, to have a fun night and hang out with him he reminded me of everything I'd been through before this in my comedy career.  That I could still do this on that level. My comedy brother! And this is one of the greatest comedians in the world today that hasn't seen me perform in a decade but still asked me to open for him in front of one of the biggest audiences in my comedy career. So this is my special thanks to Dave Chappelle for all you've done for me. He probably doesn't think its that much but that is a true testimony of a genuine and humble person. And I want you to understand, if you have been paying attention to my blog my year started with my father having his second stroke. A bad one. And finally I got news that he will be able to go home from the hospital in late November. So he will be home for the holidays, the first time since his stroke. I'm only putting this in to say I started the year with that sad event but to come through it all, my father's coming home, I got to open up for Dave Chappelle at the Moore Theatre in Seattle. From here I can only think positive. Take care of my father, family and keep it moving. That means stay on stage! Thanks Dave. I wish you all the best.

Specical thanks also to Dave's people who also showed me love. Thanks Corey! A very cool cat.

This was a show I did a week or two after opening for Dave Chappelle. Cats in the picture with me are The Big Funny, Travis Simmins and Ty Barnett.

Me, a bunch of comedians and promoters after that show. We look like a broke ass Saturday Night Live.

This is my dude Tony Daniels on the left. On the right, forgot his name. From out of town and he was mad funny. Sorry dude for forgetting your name.

Shannon Pitts aka Shamari. This sister was mad funny and a great comedy writer.

The Moore Theatre, Seattle WA. I had to go out there after the show to take it all in. I wanted to live this night as long as possible! Comedian Bill Burr was telling us the history of the theatre. Google it!

Like we usually say Thank you for dressing. But also want to say Thank you Dave Chappelle.
